Help us even the playing field
We shine a light on 16 of the most frequently diagnosed, less common cancers. The truth is, they’re not as rare as you might think — and chances are, someone you know has been affected by one.
Despite the dedication of brilliant researchers, many life-saving studies never get off the ground due to lack of funding. As a result, the five-year survival rates for these cancers remain heartbreakingly low.
With your help, we are going to change that. Because every cancer patient deserves an equal shot at survival.
Walk with us, or wherever you are

Walk your block
If you can’t make it in person, you can purchase a virtual ticket and walk 6 kilometres around your block, wherever that may be
The inspiration behind Teresa's Trotters
Prior to being paralysed from the tumour on her spine, Teresa Neate walked 6km every day. It was simple, peaceful, and therapeutic — a moment of calm she truly cherished. But cancer has a way of taking away the simple things we love most.
So we created Teresa’s Trotters, a 6km community walk to honour Teresa’s memory and spirit, and all those impacted by high mortality cancers. It’s our way of celebrating life’s everyday joys, and standing together for those affected by cancer while raising much needed funding.

Who will you be walking for?
So many people who show up at an event like Teresa’s Trotters do so because of a deep connection to the cause. When purchasing your ticket, and on the day, we invite you to share your “why” with us. Your “why” may be a certain person in your life facing their battle with cancer or the memory of a life taken too soon.
Together, we can celebrate these incredible individuals and walk one step closer to a cure for high mortality cancers.
MY FAMILY.
THEY ARE WHY.
I am trotting for my family. Three out of four of my daughter’s grandparents have been impacted by a cancer covered by The Aftershock.

From little things, big things grow
What began as a walk in memory of Teresa in 2018 — shared with close family and friends — has grown into an annual event, bringing together hundreds of Aftershockers. Today, we walk not only for Teresa, but for everyone affected by high mortality cancers. Explore the incredible journey of our walk over the past years.
